About Me
I am a Primal Health Coach on a mission to help others achieve their vision of health and happiness using simple strategies to change the way you eat, move, live, and love life. I am a stay-at-home-mom turned health coach after following my own journey toward better health. I live in Saint Charles, IL which is a western suburb of Chicago. I am married to an amazing and supportive man who is super busy running his own successful business. Since adopting a Primal lifestyle he has seen a significant improvement in his own health and is better equipped to handle the stresses of managing a busy company. We have three young children who are also fully Primal/Paleo adapted and are very healthy and active. They are my biggest inspiration and the reason I follow this healthy way of life.
As for what led me to this place in life, it is similar to what many women experience as we reach our thirties. I basically ran myself into the ground overexercising, overtraining, eating poorly and inadequately to nourish my active body, constantly stressing and trying to be Super Mom and Super Woman to EVERYONE. For years, I kept pushing through sickness and injuries, everything from tendonitis to muscle tears to herniated discs. Finally one winter, my immune system was defeated. I got the flu which progressed to bronchitis and eventually pneumonia that took nearly 12 weeks and several rounds of antibiotics to heal.
During the time of rest and healing, I had a lot of time for introspection. I spent a lot of time sleeping, reading and learning. That spring I attended Paleo f(x) in Austin, Texas and geeked out on all things ancestral health. And that’s where I was first introduced to the Primal Health Coach Institute.
I decided to pursue health coaching as a career, and it turned my life around. This was in 2017 and I continue to dive head first into all the knowledge and benefit this lifestyle has to offer. I am still finding some of my own health hurdles as I work to resolve a long history of abusing and neglecting my gut health, brain health and overall body health. But I keep making progress one day at a time. I am very excited to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for a healthy happy life with my all of you.
